Project Brief
The 100 Mile Performing Arts Society is a non-profit that stages local theatre productions in our community. The organization had a free website on a sub-domain for years that wasn’t generating any traffic. Updates were cumbersome to administer and they relied heavily on Facebook to communicate the groups plans.
The group was staging an ambitions musical production and needed a way to get as many auditions as possible and to elevate their marketing efforts.
Audition Video
This video went viral! It was viewed well over 5000 times in the three week lead up to auditions. They had over 50 people show up to try out.
Website
The big challenge with websites for non-profits is updating them. The group is already used to posting images on facebook. So we used a plug-in to pull all the facebook photos, videos and events over to the home page. The only updates require on this site will be the rotating panels on the home page.
We also set up an instagram account for them so they can document and share the rehearsals and back-story leading up to the event. The images from the account will auto post on the home page as well.
Email Capture
The client had no email list set up so we integrated the site with Mailchimp. When people sign up,they will get an “opt-in” message that asks about their interests. So we’ll be able to tag people who are actors, volunteers and supporters easily and use email the group achieve it’s marketing and recruiting goals in the future.
