This ecommerce project had a bit of everything. Brad Richmond is the Canadian distributor for a specialized line of diesel fuel enhancement products. He’s a busy guy who drives professionally five days a week and needed turn-key business system for managing his new venture. We considered Shopify for this project but the high cost for the subscription add-on coupled with the monthly fees made it a spendy proposition. We created a woocommerce store that:
- has regular sales and subscriptions
- subscriptions auto bill every month
- had complex shipping calculations
- required custom programming (plugin) to allow apportioned drivers to remove PST from orders
- each purchase is synced with Quickbooks so it reduces data entry
- site had to be simple and mobile friendly due to audience being professional drivers
- branding to look similar to Pittsburgh Power site
- site has to sell to Canada only
